Prices in Medellín are quoted two very different ways — per person or per vehicle — and comparing them without noticing is how travellers end up confused.

Per person vs per vehicle
Group tours quote per person: a Guatapé seat on a shared bus might be USD $35 each. A private tour quotes the whole vehicle: USD $159 (about $650,000 COP) for up to 4 people, which is USD $40 each with four travellers — for a car that is yours, a schedule that is yours and pickup at your door. Below three people the group option is cheaper; from three up the gap closes fast.
What the current prices are
City tour, Comuna 13, Pablo Escobar history tour and shopping tour: USD $85 (about $350,000 COP) per vehicle. Christmas lights: USD $98. Guatapé and the Piedra del Peñol: USD $159. Hacienda Nápoles: USD $293 for the full day. Airport transfer: USD $41 each way. Paragliding transfer: USD $78, with the flight paid to the school on site.
What is not included
Entrance tickets (the Piedra del Peñol, Hacienda Nápoles), meals, and optional extras like the boat in Guatapé or the paragliding flight itself. We say so up front rather than at the end — the transport price is closed, the rest depends on what you decide to do.
How to pay
In cash or by local transfer, agreed with you before the tour. The price is closed beforehand, so there are no surprises on the day.
Frequently asked questions
Is it cheaper to take taxis and do it yourself?
For a single short trip, sometimes. For a full day with multiple stops and waiting time, no — and you carry the logistics yourself.
Do you charge extra for hotel pickup?
No. Pickup and drop-off anywhere in the Medellín metropolitan area is included in the price.
Can I pay in dollars or by card?
We quote and settle in Colombian pesos. Cash in pesos or a local transfer is the simplest; ask us on WhatsApp if you need another arrangement.
Are there extra charges for night or early trips?
No surcharge for the airport transfer, which runs 24/7. For tours, an extra hour beyond the agreed time is USD $12 (about $50,000 COP).
