About this tour

Hacienda Nápoles is now the largest theme park in Colombia: a zoo with hippos, elephants and giraffes, water complexes with slides, the Museum of Memory and photo safaris across what was once Pablo Escobar's private estate. It is a full, genuinely big day out — and it sits about four hours from Medellín, which is exactly why doing it with your own vehicle changes everything.

We leave very early, drive the Medellín–Bogotá road with stops where you need them, and the vehicle waits for you all day so you decide when to leave. On the way back many travellers ask for a stop at the Colombian Santorini in Doradal, a white-and-blue village that looks nothing like the rest of Antioquia. This is a long day: it works best for families and groups who want the park without organising the logistics.
